Singularity Hub: Nao and Card Games

Those nice chaps and chapesses over at Singularity Hub have put together a little article about robot development, Nao and the like. I am rather 'chuffed' that they used myself and my Nephew Thomas' experience with Nao as examples in their article.

Ok, so I knew that makes me slightly bias, but check out their site. Singularity Hub is a great source for Technology and Science based stories. And most importantly they have lots of robot stuff on there too.

Nao Widget Interface

Aldebaran have provided a new interface to the Nao robot that allows a development project to interface and interact with Nao via a widget on the Aldebaran Developers Program website. The widgets creates the ability for a member of the developers program to provide an additional interface that allows any of the Nao API functions to be accessed, thus allowing data to be passed bidirectionally to Nao.

Here is a simple example, using a widget to pass commands to a Nao behaviour and thus control some simple functions such as walking, standing and sitting.
